Anesthesia Consultants of Fresno takes pride in the clinical ability and congeniality exhibited by our partners and is always interested to interview physicians who meet our standards. All candidates must be physicians that are either board certified or board eligible.

New physicians are initially hired as independent contractors. As an independent contractor you are paid a fixed dollar amount per ASA unit as well as a daily stipend for overnight call. For those on the partnership track, this is attained upon the completion of 10,000 ASA units, one year of service, and a successful partnership vote.

ACF utilizes a computer program to generate a schedule of call assignments and work selection for each day. Both partners and independent contractors have equal access to cases, and the scheduling program evenly distributes the workload. Physicians can choose to work in any of our facilities. Night call is approximately one weekend per month and one weekday per week. ACF physicians may trade, pick-up, or give away call, and with a group our size, those options are readily available. Physicians are given either given the day off or a minimum caseload the day after night call.

Each day our full time scheduling staff contacts each physician in the order assigned on the schedule and reviews the cases that are available in each room for the next day. The physician can then choose their room according to their own preferences.
